RV Power Group uses marine-grade materials selected specifically for long-term seawater exposure:
| Component | Standard Material | Optional / Harsh-Duty |
|---|---|---|
| Shell / Body | 316L Stainless Steel | Titanium Grade 5, PEEK |
| Contacts | Beryllium Copper, Hard Gold plated | Palladium-Nickel alloy plating |
| O-Ring Seals | NBR (Nitrile) | Viton(R), EPDM, Silicone |
| Cable Overmold | Polyurethane (PU) | Neoprene, Silicone potting |
| Cable Jacket | Polyurethane | Neoprene, XLPE, FEP |
316L stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance in open seawater. Titanium is specified for ultra-deepwater (5,000+ m), Arctic (-5 deg C to +15 deg C), or weight-sensitive AUV applications. Viton O-rings are recommended for connectors exposed to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) or petroleum fluids in oil and gas applications.
